Shlichim Program of the Jewish Agency.
This website is constantly updated according to the stages of the process.

Orientation Seminar, and keep up to date on Shlichim.
For over 30 years, the Summer Shlichim Program has been placing Israeli
counselors at Jewish summer camps around the world. During the summer of
2004, more than 1300 people (our largest delegation
ever) were sent to more than 180 camps. Along
with the USA and Canada, we work with camps in the UK, Hungary, Italy, France,
South Africa and more.
What can the Summer Shlichim Program offer you, the Camp Director?
If you are looking for highly qualified Israeli staff for your camp, then
we can help. We have Israeli folk dancing, nature, campcraft, sport, aquatics,
Israeli culture, ropes staff, general counselors and other specialities
to offer. All of our candidates are qualified, motivated individuals who
want to represent themselves and their country, give of themselves and learn
about other cultures. All of our counselors have passed a rigorous selection
and training process in order to be part of this special experience.
The success of the Program cannot be measured in numbers, but rather in
the special relationships that have formed over the years between the Shlichim
and the people they have met during the summer - whether it be campers or
staff members.
